Shorinji Kempo is an ancient holistic martial art originally practiced in India 5000 years ago. With continual influences from other nations and Zen Buddhism in particular, it has found it's modern form through the work of Doshin So who travelled extensively in Northern China to bring together the remnants of Chinese Kempo. This shot was taken for a UK brochure. In the UK, Kempo is practiced in several Dojos in southern England in London, Oxford, Bournemouth and Poole. In Japan there are over 300,000 practitioners.
